The Enoree Passage spans 36 continuous miles through Sumter National Forest, connecting Newberry, Laurens, and Union counties. The southern trailhead begins at the end of Forest Service Road 379 (Chandler Road), off Old Whitmire Road (SR 81).
The trail travels 4 miles through scenic pine ridges and hardwood bottomlands, crossing both Gilders Creek and Indian Creek before joining the Buncombe Horse Trail. For the next 10 miles leading to Brick House Campground, the trail is shared by hikers, bicyclists, and equestrians, offering a diverse and immersive outdoor experience along the Palmetto Trail.
