Bulls Island is one of South Carolina’s most stunning and secluded natural treasures.

As the largest of four barrier islands within the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, this 5,000-acre expanse of maritime forest, freshwater and brackish impoundments, and undeveloped beach offers a rare glimpse of untouched coastal wilderness.

The island, which stretches six and a half miles and remains uninhabited, is a haven for wildlife and endangered species, with a global reputation among bird enthusiasts. Over 275 bird species have been observed on or around Bull Island, making it a true paradise for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking peace in one of the most pristine environments on the South Carolina coast.
